Default Fishermen/Thur.nite striper report

We started the nite where we left off on Wed. nite and they were not there. I could not ask for better drifting conditions 2 knts. lines perfect going out no angle-no tangles, good fishermen on the boat-just a keeper and a short in a couple of drifts, trouble. caught a few on next spot but lost the tide now in big trouble, no current no fish. We backtracked to first spot and lines down brought 8 fish on and the fares were not ready-tight drags-fish lost, not following your fish- gets tangled and lost, but after a while things worked out and the stripers started losing to the fishermen. The pool winner was one of the best fishermen that we carry, Big Perry who never stops bouncing his sinker, an honest 20 lb. fish. No limits tonite but fish scattered around the boat, we lost more than caught because guys are fishing to light for these fish. You can't fish for bass on a p.b. with flounder gear, you cause more tangles and lose more fish. Anyway, its going to be breesy 2morrow nite and we will be going but if u could put off to Sat. nite I think it will be better. For info 908-930-2335.
