Miss Belmar - Thursday MONSTER BLUES beat down!
This morning, we continued to fish North East of our inlet with phenomenal results. We had excellent fishing catching 15-24 lb blues on diamond jigs, crocodiles, 47’s & 67’s. It didn’t matter what you threw at them, they were hungry and they were eating. There were some fish showing up on top but mostly they were stacked up all along the bottom. It is unprecedented the amount of giant blues there are. Captain Lenny said that he has "never seen this many jumbo blues with the majority of them being between 18-22 lbs.” You heard it here folks, now is the time to come fishing! We also had a couple of handfuls of throwback stripers. Our pool winner was a tie today between Bob Hoog from North Halepon, NJ and Rick Osman from Southampton, PA with a 22 lb blue. Sam Berman, who didn’t play the pool, caught a whopping 24.3 oz blue that was officially weighed in at the tackle shop! Now that’s one heck of a catch!
