Shrimping the Barnegat 8/24
I went grass shrimping in the Barnegat Bay today with some friends. I 4 hrs fishing, I caught 14 bluefish, 7 weakfish, 3 dozen spot, and 1 hickory shad. While we drifted the grass shrimp, I took one of the smaller bluefish and dropped it to the bottom with a sliding weight. With 20 minutes left before we had to head back in, the bluefish rod bounced and bent over. I picked it up and set the hook into a fat 18.5 inch flounder. A great way to end a perfect day on the water!
