Not sure of any shops down by you but if your are looking into new motors, I would reccomend you check out the Crusader 6.0s. We have them in a 28 Carolina Classic that weights 15,500 pounds with a deep v and we cruise between 27 and 28 knots.
Engines are 375 horsepower and the thing I like about Crusaders are the 2 year warranty and the fact that the Manifolds and Riser are fresh water cooled. This extends the life of the risers and reduces the chance of salt water getting into your engine should the risers fail.
