Had the day off yest with a to do list as long as my arm. Got a surprise invite from Jigs while dropping the kids off at school...ten minutes later I was out the door rods and tackle in hand.thankfully the spring we had has trained me to dress for the worst...
Was on the water at 9:30 after a stop at the office for my permit...greeted with a cold 10 to 15 southerly breeze. Was snotting down rain all day. Couple of hours or throwing the usual spring offering of gold vibrax no 2, perch colored countdown and various spinner baits produced nada went to plan B. Anchored down on sunken islands and flats near the drop using drop shot nighties.
Jigs got three pretty decent sm. I managed 1 small sm an even smaller perch and a few sunny. A slow day...off the lake by 2:30... Frozen. only one other boat out. Still a good day with an old fishing bud. Strongest dose of zanax that I know of. Thanks for the worms Bert we would have got skunked
