I was at Seeley's Pond on opening day. I assure you there were plenty of anglers standing elbow-to-elbow.
In fact, when News12 aired a segment about the opening day of trout season in 2012, they chose Seeley's Pond to videotape the segment.

Granted it's not Castaic Lake, but the pond does have some Largemouth Bass, Pickerel, Carp and various panfish. I grew up in the area and as a kid fished the pond well after stocking season.

Thanks for that info. I need to keep a closer eye on that post-opener stocking schedule.
[EDIT] If I am reading this chart correctly, it appears they re-stocked it yesterday and won't stock again until next Monday. Missed it.
