Thumbs up Papas Angels III - First Bass of the Season

Well yesterday Joe and I decided to get out for a little fishing since we had heard some good reports from the day before.. Stopped in the morning and picked up some bait then met Joe at the boat around 6am.. Jumped on the boat and off we went.. We made our first drop and within a few minutes I pulled up a fat 16in Winter flounder.. Which was a great start to the day.. Had a few good bites then we lost the tide. Picked up one short bass around 15in during the slack tide.. It was kind of quite but once that tide started to move we got the bite back.. We picked away at the shorts for the next few hours and missed quite a few hits.. Lots of the fish were in the 15-20in range.. But it was some great action.. Then finally my rod came tight and started to peel line out and I knew this was no short.. Got her to the boat and she measured out to 31 and a half inches.. My first keeper bass of the year!!!! As I was messing with my fish, Joe's rod went off and came tight with a nice fat 27inch bass.. Few more shorts and missed hits before we called it a day..

All and all it was a good trip and great to see the fish starting to chew.. We ended the day with 1 flounder, 8 short bass, and 1 Keeper bass.. Cant complain about that..

Few pics from the day!
