Glad to say super storm sandy hasnt beaten the home town pickerl. During sandy the wzter came up from the bay and completly flooded and filled this small pond with saltwater and the debris so i didn't have much hope for to many fish surviving seen a few sunnies last month and on the way home today i decided to take a ride over and take a few casts i have fished this lake numerous upon thousands of times and alway produced fish mostly pickrel but for the last few yrs ive been catching this one pickerl that has half a tail and a nub for a fin so today first cast fish on and there she was named her sandy now in dedication to surviving the storm shes a big one to prob 20 22 inches seen a few more cigars but not takers il have to get a pict next time but if i want to see her i could always go throw a fins by her fa ce lol
