Elmwood Park is a great area to fish, but don't limit yourself to just there. Having the kayak to scout out new spots is a HUGE plus obviously
. You'll find fish almost everywhere on this river. Keep an eye on the USGS gauge charts for temps and water levels (Google "USGS Two Bridges", "USGS Pine Brook", "USGS Dundee Dam", etc.). This time of year is good for keeping the water levels high, which means getting that 'yak into the shallow backcoves these shore fisherman can't get to.
