Was down in Neptune yesterday with my daughter and her boyfriend Adam, who's parents have a home by the Shark River Yacht Club, to help with the clean up. What a mess there.
The Tidal Surge wiped out the entire first floor of their home. Looks like they had around 3 feet of water in it. Very sad to see all the people displaced from their homes and all their belongings on the curb
On the bright side, people from all over their community that lived on higher ground where there to lend a helping hand with clean up and others driving around in their cars offering food, drink, a place to stay or hot shower. Very heart warming to see and you can just imgaine how deeply this touched Adam's parents. Not sure they have fully digested this yet as they were in good spirits, but in the coming days the reality of this all is going to sink in.
My heartfelt prayers go out to them and everyone struggling through the aftermath of this storm.
