Yesterday I wanted to hit either Lake Shenandoah or Lake Carasaljo, but due to road closures i could not get to them. I settled for fishing the Muddysquan for about an hour. Water was about a foot high, but not much muddier than usual. Today I headed over to a local pond, water was at normal levels. I landed 3 crappie and 3 small bass on a slug-go and a shallow crank. Fish were pretty aggressive, sometimes knocking the bait out of the water to get to it.
The fish are hungry, so if you can find an open road, get out there! |
