Default Re: The end of a era!

I have a 17 foot aluminum center console with a 90 mariner outboard. Spend a lot of time keeping it seaworthy an now trying to keep up with all the leaks in the hull. I'm 67 and have always had some type of boat. I fish Raritan bay out of the Sayreville boat ramp. I find that after a day on the water I'm exhausted. Last year I told two of my friends to get their Coast Guard certificates so they can help me run the boat. They did and now enjoy operating the boat. I have them make the run out and in while I relax and enjoy the ride. It's also nice the Sayreville ramp has 3 wash up stations so you can wash up the boat right at the ramp. I have also thought about giving up the boat but think I would regret it. Anyway hope to keep on boating and fishing as long I can. When you dead I think it going to be for a long time.... Walt
