I would run some cleaner in the fuel from now on, I have been adding seafoam and some techron to my fuel all season to be safe and clean up anything in there. It sounds like a heat issue. U gotta remember the water in LH is over 80, I marked 84 degrees past brady bridge shallows the other day, its HOT in there. The problem w little motors is u run them almost always at full throttle so they get hot alot faster and theres less size and metal to them to cool as well
