Hit the river today in search of some new spots. Launched at noon, unfortunately, and motored an hour upstream.
First hour or two had some action. 2 small pike, a big perch, and a decent 25" pike for my brother. Soon after I hooked up a nice pike who decided to release himself boatside.
Prob around 30" and pretty thick.
After that we hit some slow fishing. I switched up to senkos, which I rarely use. Picked up a decent smallie and my first white slab of the year (scrath that off the list). In the meantime, my brother picked up another decent pike and and nice lmb.
All in all a nice mixed bag, but no beasts today. Good times........
