i have a pig of a boat and use only 14 lbs. danforth but after much discusion last year on this site i went from an 8 foot length of chain to a 15 foot and it made all the differance. my boat is 24' long draws 3' has a almost 10' beam and weighs in at over 5000 lbs. just need the right combo for your particular needs.
