Solidarity or Lack Thereof of Saltwater Fishermen
To paraphrase a famous quote:
First they came for the commercial fishermen, and I did not speak out – because I was not a commercial fisherman;
Then they came for the party/charter boat fishermen, and I did not speak out – because I was not a party/charter boat fisherman;
Then they came for the tackle shop owners, and I did not speak out – because I was not a tackle shop owner;
Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak out for me.
