Safely Anchoring PPC

Can anyone provide me with some incite on anchoring just outside of the PPC on the Manasquan River Side. Im thinking to the left of the canal as you exit facing the Manasquan River out of the way of boat traffic. Should i use a wreck anchor ? Is there still structure just outside the entrance that will hold the tog ? Is it too risky to anchor up there especially when the tide changes ?

Re: Safely Anchoring PPC

You're not allowed to anchor in the canal. How far out of the canal you're going to anchor may be another discussion, also there are two channels that converge right there so you may be screwed. Cant say I haven't thought about it though!:D
