Hallie Loren. 9-26-17 Tog
Had off so head out with Stuck Mike and Jumpy Joe. The forecast was sketchy with big swells and 15 knot gusts so we scratched the mudhole plans and head out to the Blackfish grounds in the ocean. The weatherman was wrong again regarding the wind and the swells were so scattered we barely noticed them. Although we are not coming out of inlets where swells can be very dangerous. The anchoring conditions were perfect and the Tog were hungry. We easily limited out on keepers and Joe landed some nice bigger Tog and released them. We also caught many Black Seabass and porgies that were all released. We had a large dogfish too. Turned out to be a beautiful day with hardly any boat traffic. Get out and support the fishing.

Idk what weather site you use, but i've been having great luck with windfinder.com They're inland reports (for freshwater fishing are spot on usually) and their bay and ocean reports have been really accurate as well.

Re: Hallie Loren. 9-26-17 Tog
The forecast was spot on. It's those who read it incorrectly that lost out. As Eddie said if you're going out an inlet it's a different story but on the ocean it's self it was spot on.

NOAA, The swells report was correct but the wind report was off. Although the forecast was for the inshore area and it's a large area. Windfinder is accurate
