After concentrating on sharking these first 10 days in Cape May and an exciting last weekend in the SJ Shark Tourney, our first dedicated SOUTHERN CANYON tuna trip on 6/16-17 was a blast. Getting to one of the Southern Canyons in the evening of 6/16, we did some tuna trolling with bluefin and yellowfin. We fought a bunch of sharks overnight and were treated to about 10 solid gallons of fresh caught calamari, and added Mr. Mako to the box! The morning troll produced bigeye to 125#, bluefin to 100#, and yellowfin to 40#, with numerous BFT releases after keeping our over and unders. The water was a warm 71 and beautiful blue. The Southern Canyons are being flooded with this beautiful water, and some 100+ pound BFT were caught by other boats on the inshore lumps as well.

We have limited Open Boat trips and full charters available in June/July. We should see this fishing stay strong, and more and more billfish in the coming weeks too! Call Capt. Alan 609-731-3742 for availability.
