6-8/9 Raritan stripers
4 Attachment(s)
Hit the river on my way to work last Thursday and was rewarded with ~ a dozen bass from 12"-28" in about an hour and half of fishing on flukes, dropped 2 drag burners which made go back on Friday with 15lb leader instead of 6. Walked into the river and bumped into "thmyorke1" and I took him to the honey hole and he managed to land his first striper. The bass were smaller but 1 went 27" its amazing these bass are still in the river with the water being low and temps on the rise but that's the Raritan "Feast or Famine"

Re: 7-8/9 Raritan stripers
I appreciate the help! I totaled 6 myself. Nothing sized like the bigger ones you posted but the bite action and new species was a blast.
Will you be back out there in the future? |

Re: 7-8/9 Raritan stripers
Crazy just crazy! Stripers like the shade of the trees! Hahahaha! My buddy shined a spotlight off a pier in NY last week! There was 60-75 keeper Stripers circling around in 2-3 feet of water!
Nice catching Shucker! Guess I gotta go when the waters low and crystal clear. No time lately!!! Stripers sitting in a 2.5 foot hole has to be a good time!:D |
Re: 7-8/9 Raritan stripers
Wild that they're still lingering around despite the heat. Would all the dam removals have anything to do with the water being more to their liking to stick around more maybe?
