What it's come to
Amazing that the love that drives many to do what they do day in and day out falls on deaf ears. The passion to put a few fares on a what few fish the powers to be have allowed us to catch and keep all in the name to help rebuild what has been destroyed by commercial interests. Call it as you see it. The limits imposed on the masses of rod and reel fishing are insane. Yet we played by the rules for decades as others shoveled the juveniles and excess back as fish food. Yet we take it on the chin ( to put it nicely) year in and year out. The pleasure we once shared amongst some of the best captains in the business, the days of paper charts and composite notebooks with hand drawn pictures of ranges with secret spots are all yesterday's news. The great captains of yesterday are rolling in their graves seeing where and what it's all come to. But remember this, its in our blood not in our pocket.

I feel and live what you are saying my friend. I wish I had a magic wand to undo the stupid that is prevailing these days, but unfortunately I do not.

Re: What it's come to
The dumb ass liberals rally , why can"t we? I think it's time for some kind of revolt. Not sure what it is . Maybe the day before a season opens we all go BSB fishing and post our catches of the endangered BSB, Or ictures of the 100 through back fluke during a day of fishing, any other ideas

Re: What it's come to
Maybe it's time to take a swamp person fishing. Just like taking your kid to work, they get to really see what you do. We should pick a day and try to get all our federal and state elected officials out fishing. Then they might understand.
