4/26 Raritan up near Keyport
Read LOTS of fish on the sonar today as we trolled a couple bunker spoons in the upper bay nw of Keyport in about 12 to 18 ft of water. Managed to get on nice fish and I was surprised we didn't get more hits. However, after reading some of the other reports I feel lucky to have gotten the one we did. They were there - just not interested in feeding today. I was there mostly in the afternoon incoming tide.
Water was still dirty after the rain from yesterday - and a lot of garbage in the water. Hope this report helps someone else find the fish that wouldn't bite for me today. https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...40&oe=59772CB0 |

I think I need to learn how to use my radio properly (or at all). I usually have it off or not even charged (handheld rechargeable). On my few opportunities to get out there I feel very lost trying to either locate fish (or fishermen with info to share). This time I found fish and I was all alone - but couldn't get them to bite. |

Gerry,
You're at a fork in the road and two sets of 3's. Next Skunkings? Or Fish Ons? Go figure! Quote:
