Raritan Bay Striper Fishing This Saturday
New to striper fishing. I'm heading there early tomorrow around 5 am with a couple of fishing friends. I was wondering if you fellow anglers can give your thoughts as to how good the conditions are or may be. I'm not sure what to look for as I normally just for for freshwater up in North Jersey. I only venture into sandy hook really with my bud whenever he checks out reports for fluke or blues. Any information will gladly be appreciated. We do have the proper equipment and gear. Just don't have any solid techniques down.

This time of year most guys are either trolling or anchored up fishing with clams. If you have a good marks you can always drift through them and throw some artificial's. Don't be afraid to burn some gas. If I were you I would focus on areas less than 20 feet that look fishy on your chart plotter. Have fun good time year to be spending some time with friends

Re: Raritan Bay Striper Fishing This Saturday
Fishing from shore this time of year, top of the high tide is usually the best timing wise. As far as bait, I'd be fishing clams. You might get some of that rubber string to wrap and tie around the hook and clam so it stays on better when casting.

Thanks a bunch for the tips guys. We will try to fish through changing high tide with clams. Most likely at night. :D
