Spear fishing in the canyons
 

Went to the deep to try for the eyeballs. Stopped on the pots to get some meat and decided to jump in the blue ended up shoot 3 mahi with the gun and landing 12 total in a hr. Then went on the hunt trolled with the whales to 10 pm before taking the long bumpy ride home. No tuna for us and sounded like fri was a tough day for the whole fleet.

Nice mahi! Seems to be some very nice size ones in the canyons currently! Aren't you concerned there might be a 500 - 600 lb blue marlin that takes offense to you spearing his dinner when you dive out there! As cool as that sounds, I'd be so busy looking over my shoulder I don't think I'd ever get off a shot! I guess that's part of the excitement! Great job!

I have a friend in tauk who has speared many a monster tuna around the world and shot a 130# mako last summer!
