NJ Senate did not vote on it so NO gas tax ---> for now!!

does the gas tax (to repair roads ) include marine fuel . :confused:

Yes, the road tax is added to fuel purchased on the water as well....How screwy is that??

NJ does however allow for hire boats to get a refund but as near as I can tell, it is not available recreational boaters.

If you are a fore hire boat, here are the forms to submit for the refund http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxa...frefundins.pdf

Probably costs the state more to administer this program then they pay out :rolleyes:

Better yet, get a hybrid and screw the government out of payments for roads you actually use. They avoid the tax and should be paying. Electric cars go nowhere without a road. And they are not paying for anything unlike everyone else.

Getting the electric and hybrid cars to pay their fair share would a good start. Don't you think?
