Nite bite 6/3

1 Attachment(s)
Hit monksville in the boat with a buddy. Got 2 bass early b4 sundown on a floating rapala. Was on the ultra lite so that was fun. Fog got super thick after the sun went down ,made moving a pain. Didn't get anything but a few knock downs on the hulapopper. Nothing on the rapala. Or the live herring. Didn't here many big fish, but whatever the small fish are, they were going wild in the shallows(saw a big jump by the boat, no predators chasing them)
Buddy hasn't caught fish so we packed in around 130. saw a snake, muskrat and either a huge house cat or a bobcat.

Fished south of the north boat ramp, down to the the narrow part Of the lake

nicely done, anytime you don't get skunked at sunksville res you've done well :)the north end has a bunch of standing timber. got a couple of bass there and a cove by where the power lines cross the res i got a decent size smallmouth on a rattlin thin fin.that place is tough to catch fish.great structure in that place.

Were you hearing lots of blowups on the herring where you were fishing? I was out there 11-2am, managed a pair of eyes and pair of largemouth.

Too scary to get the boat in there at night. Days I do ok over there, just have to fish tight to shore

Maybe 3 or 4 the whole night. Dunno if its not having a depth finder, or we just weren't in the right spot. Where were u? Where u over the bridge (all the way north) lake was fairly dead in the narrow part

I wish I lived closer to Monksville, seen some nice fish come out of that lake, definitely a tough nut to crack ! Nice LMB btw !
