I have been having issues with my sonar on my flat bottom skiff (loosing bottom
Under speed and losing sonar picture). I bought a product from fish
Finder mounts.com which consist of a super magnet connected to ducer mount that attaches to a magnetic faceplate on transom. It also came with extension rods to get the ducer deeper for less turbulence which in theory would lead to better sonar picture. Long story short ducer flew off the back off the boat and I was left with no ducer for the rest of the day.

Do not buy this product from fish finder mounts.com if the intent is for greater than 15mph... it is not nearly robust enough for motorboat.

Need clean water. Should be as close to center line as possible away from lifting strakes and chines that put air in the lift.
