got up early and hit the Delaware at 6:15am Sunday morning.was not raining yet and I was hoping to hook some shad before the rain started falling.this was not to be.fished until 9am with out a single bump.said to myself
as now its raining pretty steady that I was going to take one more cast and leave.it would have been the first sunk on the river this year.i take my last cast and I am reeling in when bang I get the hit I have been waiting for all morning.set the hook and out of the water comes nice smallie.after a quick battle I netted and released the fish.always loved the way the jump clear out of the water.saw an eagle,a few deer and and osprey take a fish right in front of me.all and all a great morning in a beautiful place.

Gotta love those river smallies, they pull very hard and fight much tougher. Glad you landed one.

I can't remember h e last time my last cast of the day got a fish! Can't beat that, makes the day.

well there you go,tough it out in the rain take that last cast and wham fish on. nice job avoiding a skunkin,and with a smallmouth at that. god bless captain :D
