Anyone fish at Crystal Lake Park in Englewood?

Saw this place on anglerweb and scoped it out on google maps, looks pretty nice. It's on E Sheffield in Englewood. Was wondering if anyone had fished here before and what you caught.

20 years ago it had carp and water rats. I don't know if it has improved any.

Last time I was there I saw koi and turtles, no water rats. Englewood cleaned it up pretty nicely. Anglerweb shows sunfish and catfish.

I didn't feel safe fishing there... this was a few years ago. Maybe it's changed now?

I work up in Englewood Cliffs and stumbled upon this thread after checking this "lake" out....... what a dump. Tons of trash in the water, geese everywhere, poop all over the shoreline, and the lake cant be more than a few feet deep at most. The only thing i saw in there was a monster orange koi that looked mutated. If anyone was ever thinking of trying to fish here, I'd say try elsewhere.

Be careful there, it's right near a housing complex that has had a lot of shootings in the past year or so.

I could definitely believe that. I was waiting at a red light to make a left turn onto the street the park is on and someone started laying on their horn and got out of their car yelling at me to go through the red light. Needless to say I will not be going back there anytime soon! lol
