Keeping my eels alive 3-5 days
Hi all,
I have a week vacation and will be spending a few days at my house in pt pleasant. I have had great success throwing eels from the surf, but have only had the need to keep them alive for the trip only using a bucket, ice, and wet paper towels, no major problems for a 10 hour period. Since I rather just buy them in bulk for this trip I wanted to see the best way to keep them alive. I plan on buying 21 or so. In your opinion what would be best. 1 Double bucket method 2 live well bucket 5 gallons with pump 3 put them in a sealed bucket with 1/2 holes drilled and put them submerged in the lake across from my house? |

5 gallon bucket with lid, air holes drilled, 6-10 inches of water and in dark bsmt will keep em alive for over a week. Change water every few days.
Ive found they loose some color and kind of grey out so Mabey try a darker colored bucket. Thx s worked for me a few years back |
