capt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took dave anderson of maconnelsburg,pa along with steve, mike and scott out for an overnighter. we didn't have the spread out for five minutes when a rod is lapped over and after five minutes it was obvious that it was the right one. after passing the rod like a spliff at a marley concert the guys did a great job and we had a 125lb bigeye in the boat. kiss of death that quick bite...maybe
we trolled the rest of the afternoon and caught two longfins, no bigeye love for us in the armada of sport boats in the not so secret spot. we set up on the chunk and i looked on the screen, there they were. i dropped a jig and we were on, but he got away, and took the school with him. we landed a nice yellowfin at 4am and got back into the armado with once again no love. these guys told me prior to booking that they were meat fisherman.well they went home with a ton of it.
