Weekend Wipers

Met up w Dale early morning to fish for our fav species...the early bird gets the worm haha. Got the boat in the water quickly and headed to where we wacked em good last weekend in the pouring rain. Picked off a nice fish while setting the 2nd line out and had good signs of life in this area. We were thinking it was game on but we had no takers just alot of lookers and decided to go into search mode. Scanned some areas we know to hold schools with the side imaging and found no bait and no fish anywhere around. Made another long move and instantly found plenty of bait and some loosely schooled stripers after searching for a while. Setup a 6 rod spread and it was game on the rest of the day making loops thru the waypoints. We had a few doubles and triples and we lost quite a few fish to short strikes and sideways tangles, seems this years class of fish is thicker and they are running sideways while they dig, fun fun fun lol. All fish caught in 15-25fow slow-trolling naked herring rigs w snap weights on planer boards and downlines. Got the new boat finally rigged the way I want and shes getting broken in nicely......Enjoy the fish porn fellas

Nice jimmy! Things look good. Sweet ride; rigged and ready to roll. Dale gave me the update on Sunday. Said you guys did well. I think these pics are the first time I've seen him during daylight hours in the last 2 months!

Great job guys.

Had a perfect night myself being set up from Friday to Saturday morning.

Managed to locate a nice hole from the shore and kept on hammering away with more misses than fish landed

They are still around and still hungry.

In terms of fishing planning and complexity, you're playing a chess match with the fish.
I'm not even playing checkers. I'm putting blocks through the right-shaped holes. :D

The best part of the new ride is the automatic bow mount trolling motor with remote control. We were pulling in to the dock as Jimmy was launching. He kicks the boat off the trailer and it starts floating away. There was a small crowd at the dock and they all start yelling “hey there’s a boat on the loose!.
Jimmy pushes a button on the remote and the bow trolling motor unfolds off the deck, and drops in the water where he steers it back to the dock.
Pretty Kool!

Good job guys. Nothing I love more than technology on a boat. I've been putting a dent in the wipers myself at night. My friends are starting g to think I'm a vampire. Saturday night was pretty dam good too.

Great job guys - some very solid fish there. The new Crestliner looks great.

The brackets holding the rod holders to the T-track, are they Crestliner - another aftermarket brand, home fabricated?

Sweet hybrids! How do you guys keep the herring alive? Just an aerator or do you add any cold water/ice??
