FISHERMEN/Thursdays Fluke Fishing Report
4 Attachment(s)
Dreary day today and it showed with the amount of customers in the Harbor and on the boats. Started in the Ocean with a couple hours of incoming tide, the bite was nothing like yesterday! Had a nice keeper Striped Bass on the first drift and a couple Fluke.
Drift was way too fast at 2.2 knots. Made a move to the mussels and found some shorts. The best of the fishing was on the outgoing when the bite turned on. Plenty of short action with some nice keepers mixed in. John Froelich took another pool on his first trip of the season....He left all the pool money to Lou and then Shocked me with a more than generous donation of $500 to the SSFFF!!!! Thanks for believing John...... Weather looks great for Friday and don't forget we are CHARTERED SATURDAY MORNING. Macy's Fireworks tickets are on sale now if you are interested. Don't wait too long as it sells out fast. Capt. Ron |

Way to go John. As I'm sure Ron will agree, John bounces the Bucktails with the best of them and his gratuity and donation is a testament of his character. Hell of a guy and equally impressive fisherman. He's the one you watch if your new to bucktailing. Ron, would love to bring the kids on the boat for the fireworks however they are young. 6, 4, and 3. If its OK we would be interested.
