Damn things stuck!!!!
 

I recently got a newer boat and this one has the springfield style seat posts and i have one that was practically impossible to remove. I did finally get it out but only after i used every ounce of energy i had and almost knocked myself out with it when it came free! My question is what do you use to prevent this from happening? I thought maybe grease or silicone spray or armor all on the end and the plastic sleeve on the base? Hope somebody has a good answer for this one!

Try a high temp anti seize, that when when it gets hot you don't have grease running all around

When I saw that you replied to this I just knew it was going to be extremely helpful and magnificently insightful...:D I can just imagine if you were there to say that when Dale was trying to get that seat out!!! :eek:

Sure hope you don't accidently fall off the front of the Getanet the next time out.
