Monday slow cod fishing
We went out at 5am with great weather and flat ocean and very high hopes of another banger day of fishing like we been used, but first 2 spots we hit had nothing next we caught a couple i ran east so far we started catching jumbo sea bass all released, had to go more inshore from there to get away from them. I tried north and south covering 200 miles of the ocean on our marathon trip, but all we had to show for it is 10 fish in the box, not even shorts were biting today

Re: Monday slow cod fishing
I was on this trip, first time with Capt. Denis and mate Eddie
All i can say is this capt. pulled out all the stops and did not shy away from burning fuel. Great day on the water, great bunch of guys and Capt. & mate top notch. I will be back. Everyone went home with dinner which as you know does not always happen. To bad sea bass is out of season, because it was drop and reel fishing on jumbo sea bass. If you want a fair shot at putting fish in the box you cannot go wrong with these guys. JA |
Re: Monday slow cod fishing
If you were catching the sea bass with the white tipped tails, those ones are in season so we can go there on the 24th.

Dennis
I was not on this trip but greatly appreciate captains who put in the extra time and effort for their charters. You can not control the weather or the catch but you can control your effort. Going above and beyond is why you have developed a great reputation in a short time. These are the type of captains that get my bussiness |
Re: Monday slow cod fishing
You'll never be disappointed with Capt. Denis's efforts. Eddie is top notch. Boat should have wings. Great fish catching duo.
