Russian Roulette Cod report 3/7 and 3/9
1 Attachment(s)
On saturday 3/7 we had decent action with everyone catching fish, but because it was a little bumpy offshore i couldn't really go with my original game plan so we had steady action on shorts and keepers with everyone taking half a dozen keepers per person home and releasing dozen and half schoolies . Sunday we canceled do to offshore forecast.
Monday what a day we got lucky with weather and on the way to the grounds we ran in to porpoises and birds working bait, decided to check it out and i am glad we did, none stop action with cod on jigs and bait some double headers when the smoke settled everyone went home with couple big bags of fillets what a day, everyone had at least a dozen keepers and to many schoolies to count. |

Great trip on Saturday enjoyed the catching....checking the reports NJ is actually doing better then Montauk/Rhode Island now....its dead up there but lighting up down here. Saving gas and catching.....also learnt NJ Cod has clean fillets/flesh and doesn't come with any added surprises as in New England.
