Back Bay Today

Took my daughter and father out for some short fun in the back of the bay since the wind was predicted to be gusty. It was so windy we shut down one engine and ran the other on idle( in gear) and we're making 2.5 knots.... Trolled from the triangle thru the reach to great kills. Read some bait but didn't mark much or get any takers. Didn't want to take the ride out with the forecast and my youngest in the boat. Few other fellas out their we talked to didn't get anything either. Water temp was 65 on average..maybe next weekend this wind will stop and the season might just get rolling. Let's see what this wind brings thru the week.

Re: Back Bay Today

Thanks for posting the report Captain. Hopefully the bite will start soon in the bay. I will be out next Saturday; Can't wait to reel in some Stripers; got first one on the rocks near SH Reef few weeks ago. My buddy pulled that 34incher with tiny spinner on a fluke rod and 4ounce bucktail jig.
