Thursday with tomatoes

Fished with Johnny today. Haven't seen him in quite awhile and I was hopin to get him into some jersey fish. Weather was beautiful but the fishin was tough for us. Bounced all over the place. Very few bites. Offshore, inshore, shallow, deep, rocky, sandy, muddy all of it and I couldn't find a bite. Hit the water at 7:30 and stayed out till four. One keeper for me along with two shorts. No robins, no doggies, no skates, nothin but one 22 inch fish and two shorts. Johnny fared worse with two or three shorts. He did have one robin and one doggie. By far my worst day of the year.

Going to montauk tomorrow. Staying in the hamptons and a charter on Saturday. Maybe get the shrimp out Sunday depending on the forecast.

Had a blast fishing with Johnny. It's been a while.
