Transom mount transducer

I have one on my boat not even a year old and having problems. I bought the chirp one for garmin 741xs and it was working great reading fish and bottom structure. Now out of nowhere is not reading anything even when I run over bait that I see and the depth is off and I'm wondering if it's shot. Any suggestions on what's going on pete thanks

Does this only happen when you are underway or when you are stopped as well? Is the boat left in the slip or do you rack or trailer?

If it only happens when you are underway it could be turbulence from the hull or you could have sone marine growth on it? If it happens when you are stopped too then I would guess there is an issue with the transducer.
