Mimi 7/8 Ling, sea bass & flounder
Tuesday's mixed bag trip on the Mimi was a good one. We had constant action for 90% of the day but once the wind turned and started to honk, the bite slowed down. Most on the boat did well catching ling and a couple limits of sea bass. Only 1 flounder made its way over the rail and a fluke did as well.
Clam was the name of the game....gulp caught but not nearly as much. I finished the day with 20 ling, 1 fluke and a sea bass. Headed out again on Thursday for their fluke trip. |

Thanks for the report. How were you able to get the Mimi open boat bottom fishing schedule.
thanks |

Re: Mimi 7/8 Ling, sea bass & flounder
Dave fun fishing with you, and special thanks to Captain Kenny and Chris - for my first trip with the Mimi, I can assure everyone that their excellent reputation is well deserved.
I agree with Dave on the report - I wound up with 16 ling and 2 seabass. To add some info - 5 dudes from Philly showed up and we didn't leave until 8. Of course they were drunk, stumbling and relatively rowdy in the noise department. This always makes for a relaxing day on the water.... Anyway, these guys had less fish in their one combined cooler than either Dave or I; ling bite was tough enough to feel, and when you show up with a $28 rod/reel combo from Target... well, you see what I am sayin'... Highlight was on the trip back - 25 knots from the south and we had a 1.5 hour ride back into the wind. One of the Philly guys comes out of the cabin and proceeds to projectile vomit everywhere, with another friend coaching/screaming "get it all out, get it all out!" - hilarious! Chris and I got to share big smiles while he took some photos of this "special event". Ha! :) Fun stuff - anyway, I'll be back on the Mimi for sure! Let us know how you guys make out today Dave! |
