Farrington Lake 6/2
 

Back from a road trip to the Dallas area. Since I've never really seen much of the country other than the northeast, which is so much better than the rest of the country, went north through St Louis and Chicago on the way back. Tried a lake outside of Dallas for some of the giant bass texas has with no luck. Spent a considerable amount of time starring at the aquariums at bass pro. And I've digressed.

So to the point of this post, tried the lake today for a couple hours. Tried my firetiger colored spinnerbait and was once again shocked to pull in an about 10 inch brown trout. Shocked not only that I caught a 2nd little brown but on a medium sized spinnerbait that usually only gets me bass or pickerel. Continued with the spinnerbait and hooked a big looking bass in a weed bed that came out of the water and threw me off. Switch over to a black with blue speck senko worm that I threw around weed beds. After a couple missed pulling it over the weeds I finally hooked up with a 13 inch largemouth. Couple more misses over the weeds then packed it in. A meager two fish but it was nice to be home and on the banks of my local water.

Never made it that far down. I've only lived in the area for two years now and just found out there was more water past Farrington. One day when all the spots are occupied Ill make my way there.

Njflyfisher jestem sto % polski but only speak enough to have an everyday conversation, meaning I know all the words not meant for church, and read even less. My parents, dad from just east of Krakow and mom from close to Wroclaw, met here and had me. Last time I visited my cousins were kind enough to tell me that what I can manage to speak I did without a foreign accent so I've got that.

I know that was kinda the point. I couldn't think of anything clever so that's what I came up with.
