Late Report 5-13 South Branch Float

Hey guys, sorry for the late report. I hit the South branch this past Wednesday and floated from flemington-Whitehouse Rd to Three bridges. It was a tough day! The water was very cold. I focused on smallies but threw for trout as well. I had 3 or 4 bites and caught 1 smallie just under a pound on a soft plastic. I saw a bunch of carp and actually watched a guy shoot a monster 25lb carp from a bridge with a bow and arrow and then jump down and land the thing! Overall it was a nice day and i know i will float again by the end of the month as the water warms up. I am looking to float the raritan river main stem. Can you direct me with a 5-7 mile stretch that would be good to float? I have two kayaks and would love to have someone join me.

Dyin to float that stretch ! On the Raritan you can put in at Roberts Street and take out at the confluence or sooner in Manville. Or you can do a long float and go down to Picataway.
