Trying out a new WTS

With 4 months of Summer vacation, I decided to go and try to find a new trout stream that I've never been to before. After following a river upstream for a while, on google maps, I found a spot that seemed trout friendly, and was I right. Got to the area at around 9 am, and after a 30 minute hike in the woods finally found the stream. My tackle of choice was a silver size 2 panther martin on an ultralight 4 ft rod. Each cast kept on getting hits, but I couldn't seem to set the hook on them. Made my way further downstream, where I found the perfect pool. First cast ended up catching a solid 10 inch brown, and the next cast had the same result. Kept on moving downstream and picked off a few more browns, making my total 10 by the end of the trip. I must say that the weather played a huge part in the success of this trip. I'm not the most stealthy person at there, so the clouds definitely helped me out:D

Man, do I envy somebody with a "summer vacation".

Looks like a fantastic place.
Definitely keep that on the down-low.

My advice to you.... Fish as much as you can. That's what I did the past two summers while I was still in school. Unfortunately there comes a time when you have to work and you're only left fishing weekends and a couple hours in the evening after work.

and if you are fortunate enough to get married and have kids, that time gets cut into as well.

As my father demonstrated to me, the key is to get your kids to love fishing. Also, to get you wife to enjoy going for boat rides haha
