Re: Question for Passaic River veterans.
In the Great Swamp. A few years ago I put my canoe in near Lord Stirling Park and I paddled as far up the Passaic as the canoe would go. It eventually got too shallow to go any farther, so I assume I was real close to the beginning.

Re: Question for Passaic River veterans.
The one and only Passaic River starts out as a 3-5 foot wide Trout stream somewhere near Mendham, NJ. This is a fact! Whe you find the Country Mile, you've found the beginning of an AWESOME fishery!!!!!!!

Passaic River sucks. Dirty, polluted, and no fish anywhere in its 80 miles. Don't waste your time there!

See below.
And, are there any WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CORPS (WCC) members who want to post signs (that state we are not stocking trout this spring) @ our trout stocking points on the Passaic R. from Lord Stirling Bridge, Basking Ridge to Shepard Kollock Park Chatham? If you are not a WCC’er, you can sign up @ http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/wcchome.htm Thanks.
