New Tank Setup.......
Yeah, its been a tough winter. Here's what I've been up to. The "pickerel" seemed to be growing slowly so I released them back into the river and started over.......
Had a fancy goldfish the pikerel never ate, and kept growing. Add in a golden shiner, Chubb, and a small bluegill, all caught on hook and line, and now my new tank setup..... http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...G/IMAG1699.jpg Gotta say, they all get along, and are voracious feeders, lol!! The bluegill will bite a finger, and take mealworms right out of my hand!!! The others love flake food and will eat whenever..... Cool group, lol........ |

Re: New Tank Setup.......
I've got a 65G with a pickerel and a crappie, they have been doing well for over a year now. They're eating me out of house and home; they go though 5 dozen small fatheads a week.

Would love to have a tank, had several tanks at one time. Don't have the space or the time to devote to one now. Looks cool though Nice Job!

Re: New Tank Setup.......
Was thinking of setting up a tank on my closed in porch for the summer and returning them to the wild in the fall. I read that once the fish are in an aquarium they will no longer be able to feed in the wild, so did not want to do that to them.
