Green Turtle Pond

Got out on green turtle pond for 3-4 hours this afternoon. There were a few other guys out there too. I jigged about two dozen gills ^& perch and got a small bass and pickerel on tip ups. Ice was about 4-1/2 -5". Better than sitting home.

YEA BUDDY! Definitely better than sitting home without a doubt. How was the wind out there today. It was howling this afternoon. My face is as red as a Lobster right now. GOOD STUFF!!!

Good job Adam.....We set out for Greenwood today but when we got there it was open water!!!!!!!!......So we hit Green Turtle and caught up over 20 small perch and small bluegills......A few others out there had no luck.....one fish caught on a tip up and all the rest jiggin.....surprised we didn't get anything better.....Ice was 5"+.....

Did you check out greenwood - NY side near the beach? My wifes sister lives on the lake so I stopped by yesterday, her cove and part of the lake looked frozen, though I didn't see anyone out there and didn't want to be that guy.

We didn't even bother.....not a sole out there(and today was a holiday which surprised me)......that was a big sign and the ice looked unsafe......I knew it wasn't looking good when driving past Wanaque Res. and Monks there were HUGE areas of open water.....by the time I headed home, those same spots were iced up....

Every time out can't be a grand slam but way to still get out there and catch some fish. Thumbs up...
