the wandering spider is found in bananas. when shipped by boat the spiders would be found on the vessels. this is what I have been told about the origin of this superstition.. Funny. I told this guys about the wandering spider on saturday, as I tossed his snacks overboard (4 bananas) |

I have a couple, I redid the tubes and still use them occasionally. I met Don Bingler at a show a few years ago and he gave me some of the second generation, they were shorter on bead chain swivels.

http://www.njfishing.com/forums/atta...8&d=1383755738Back in the day of sailing ships the crew would carry limes to fight scurvy ,so the called them people limeys. Well the bananas in the hold of the ship would emit gasses that would ripen and then rot the limes. Put some fruit next to a banana and see what happens?
