Thurs morning Sea Hunter - good fluking
Had to weed thru 30+ shorts to cull my 4 nice keepers. When conditions allowed us to drift down Sandy Hook Channel fluking was fast 'n furious. When the drift got too fast we headed inshore where the bite was not as good. It's all about conditions:)
Bucktailing was far better than bait dragging today; all my fish except 1 were caught on the hi-hook teaser. New Penny 6" Gulp grubs were the ticket (I tried everything else). Could not believe the number of 10" Fluke today. The Shorts were bigger in June than September  Fish were attacking the Gulp today, before their exodus. I'll post a pic after Captain Blogger updates his website. |

Way to go Larry, sounds like you had a great trip. New Penny, maybe they are wanting darker colors now:confused:
