Weston Mills

Went out on the kayak for a couple hours after work. Had two swipes and misses, probably pickerel. Able to finally get one, 12in -1lbs

Anyone else fish Weston Mills? How do you approach it? I normally throw a spinnerbait, burn it over the weeds or down the edges of the lilies. Also will throw a frog sometimes. With all the weeds and lilies was wondering what size weight should use for getting my plastics through all the gunk, 1oz, 2oz? Flouro or braid? Thanks.

Used to do pretty good there but that was many years ago. Now the bucket brigade hits it pretty good and it has silted in quite a lot. I fished it a couple times earlier in the year but only managed a few small LMB and Pic's.
