Never Underestimate Small Water.....

1 Attachment(s)
Caught this beauty in a small public pond where you would have never believed fish this size were in. Pond has a good supply of baitfish and cover.
So like the title says ................Never Underestimate Small Bodies of Water.
Fish was released Alive -N- Kickin after a quick photo!!!

Makes perfect sense to me. My best NJ bass was out of a park pond that was barely over an acre. Sweet bass!

Agreed. Small ponds= big fish. If the pond has a good amount of food/cover, they'll get big no matter how small the pond.

.

That's awesome.
Not only is that a small pond, but it's heavily used judging by the manicured lawn and park benches.

Good for you GAN!
Especially that you put it back.

I'm also a big fan of small water. Seems like most don't put in the time to learn what works, and even when they catch a few 12-14 inch fish, they think that's all that is in there.
